Custom Apps and Software

Custom Apps and Software replaces a spreadsheet, paper form or ageing system when no product on the market fits the way you work. DMS first checks whether configuration or an existing product would do the job, then tests a prototype with the people who will use it. Delivery is quoted per phase of 8 to 12 weeks, and you receive the code, accounts, licences, documentation and training at handover.

Part of the business runs on a spreadsheet, a paper form or a system that no longer fits, and no product on the market does the job the way you do it.

Custom software is the top rung of the decision ladder, so every build starts by ruling out cheaper options.

1. Map the workflow, users and systems the tool must fit.
2. Check the ladder. If configuration or a proven product would do the job, we recommend that instead.
3. Build a working prototype and test it with the people who will use it.
4. Deliver in phases, with you reviewing each phase before the next starts.
5. Build role-based access, approvals and an audit trail in from the first phase, and store the data on your platform so it feeds reporting and AI.
6. Hand over documentation, training, code, accounts and licences.

Offline and field use is within scope, including iPad capture, photos and instrument imports.
