Discuss AI Readiness and GovernanceOverview
AI Readiness and Governance is for organisations whose staff already use AI tools and whose leaders are considering agents. Over 3 to 4 weeks at a fixed price, DMS registers and rates every AI tool in use, drafts a two-page use policy and scores your use cases. The result is a verdict for agents: proceed, fix foundations first, or not yet.
The problem
Staff already use AI, often without rules. Leaders want agents, but nobody knows whether the data, ownership and controls are ready, and automation on bad data spreads errors faster.
What you get
- A readiness verdict for AI agents: proceed, fix foundations first, or not yet
- A two-page AI use policy setting data classes and banned uses
- An AI register with every current tool rated low, medium or high risk
- A ranked list of use cases scored on value, data readiness, ease and risk
- A data readiness sheet for the top two use cases
- Platform advice comparing Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT and the AI built into systems you already run
Methodology
The work tests whether leaders agree on the approach, whether the use cases are worth doing and whether the data is ready for them.
- A leadership workshop settles six scoping choices: where to start, how much autonomy agents have, sourcing, who leads, how to scale and how agents connect.
- Every AI tool already in use goes on a register, rated low, medium or high risk, and a two-page use policy sets data classes and banned uses.
- Three 90-minute workshops with operational teams surface use cases.
- Each use case is scored on value, data readiness, ease and risk.
- The top two are checked against seven data readiness tests.
- The result is one of three verdicts: proceed, fix foundations first, or not yet.
If the foundations are not ready, the verdict points to the Digital Core, Data Foundations or Reporting work that fixes them. This service is the gate before AI Agent Build.
Cost and timing
- How it is bought

- How long it takes
- 3 to 4 weeks.
- Your team's time
- A 3-hour leadership workshop, three 90-minute team workshops and a review by your privacy officer.
